Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occasional Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Primary/Junior education and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow the regular Teacher’s plan to foster optimal learning and students’ participation.
• Provide classwork and homework assignments based on the available lesson plan.
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom including the playground.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful classroom environment.
• Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents (LTO)
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support student success and school-wide initiatives (LTO)
• Develop lesson plans and marking assignments (LTO)
• Attend parent-Teacher conferences (LTO)

Qualifications:

·   Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.

• Valid teaching certification-OCT
• Sound knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum
• Positive role model with a passion to teach Islamic Values
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Experience teaching at the elementary level is a plus.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for education and making a positive impact in students’ lives.
